Ed Sheeran is returning to Arrowhead Stadium, this time as the headliner.

The first time Sheeran performed at Arrowhead, he opened for the Rolling Stones in June 2015. Sheeran on Friday announced a 2018 U.S. stadium tour, and Arrowhead is among the 15 stops. He will perform Oct. 13, 2018, a Saturday. Tickets for all the stadium shows will go on sale Oct. 20 — nearly a year before the Kansas City date. The tour also stops at Busch Stadium in St. Louis on Sept. 6, a Thursday.

Sheeran sold out the Sprint Center on June 29. That was his third headlining show in Kansas City and his second at Sprint Center. He previously headlined at the Midland theater in February 2013.
