Some rumors just can’t be put to bed, even after you’ve fluffed the pretty pillows and tucked them neatly away.

Here’s one you’re probably still seeing on Facebook: Joanna Gaines is leaving “Fixer Upper” to sell a line of skin potions.

What?!?!

The story keeps popping up on Facebook feeds, describing an “HGTV nightmare” — Gaines is leaving “Fixer Upper” to start a beauty business.

Gaines’ husband, Chip, debunked the rumor in a one-word tweet last week.

The myth-busters at Snopes deemed it a hoax last week, too, reporting that in March 2017, “dubious online advertisements masquerading as People articles declared that Joanna Gaines ... is suing to break her contract” to start her own cosmetics line.

The fake article goes on to promote VLamorous, a purported “anti-aging serum,” according to Snopes.

Another version of the “scam,” as Snopes called it, hawks a product called Bella Serata Anti-Aging Serum, also allegedly created by Gaines.

Gaines tried to tamp down the rumor on April 21 in a blog post on her Magnolia Market website.

The headline read: “Don’t believe everything you read.”

“Y’all know best that Chip and I have a love for entrepreneurship,” she wrote. “You guys know us for our construction company, Chip’s love for real estate and also my love for retail – which includes the Silos in Waco, Texas. And some of you have even seen our national projects like the magazine, our book, furniture, rugs, wallpaper, and paint.

“So many things are happening right now and it feels like we are moving at the speed of light.”

She wrote that she and Chip can’t keep up with all the rumors that come their way and encouraged fans to follow them on their official social media channels.

“And just in case you were wondering, YES! We are currently filming season 5 of the show,” she wrote. “No! I am not getting into the business of facial creams. And No! We are not expecting baby #5. And no worries, believing some of these stories happens to the best of us.

“In summary, don’t buy the facial cream, friends.”

'Fixer Upper' hosts reveal where they'd live if they weren't in Texas

Chip and Joanna Gaines, hosts of the wildly popular HGTV’s “Fixer Upper”, talked with the media prior to making their appearance Saturday at the Greater Kansas City Home Show at Bartle Hall.
