Rodrock Development is absolutely thrilled to announce an outstanding eight wins in the 2017 Fall Parade of Homes. Four fantastic abodes were awarded the Pick of the Parade, while another four beauties garnered the Distinctive Plan and Design Award.
“What an incredible Parade,” says Brenda Sanders, President of Rodrock & Associates, Realtors®. “Our builders have worked so hard this year and were so deserving of this honor. Seven of those awards were earned within Stonebridge Park, which may be a company record! Today is the final day of the Parade, and we urge tour-goers to experience what the judges saw firsthand: outstanding construction techniques, the finest in craftsmanship, and the latest in home design.”
Stonebridge Park, at 165th Street and BlackBob Road, took home an incredible 7 awards distributed among four homes from the Fall Parade of Homes judging. Among the homes to win the Pick of the Parade Award and the Distinctive Plan & Design Award were SAB Homes’ Charleston, Roeser Homes’ Chloe 2, and James Engle Custom Homes’ Emery Expanded.
“SAB Homes’ 2-story Charleston plan exudes true elegance from the moment you step into the entry — with its 10-foot ceilings and premium finish work — which helps sets this house apart,” says community manager Ed Stephenson. The home is perfect for families looking for an open concept with tons of charm.
Never miss a local story.
Roeser Homes’ Chloe 2 is a striking 2-story plan with an innovative design throughout, including an incredible master bath and large spare bedrooms. With a double-door entry and amazing finishes, this home sits on a deep cul-de-sac lot backing to trees and offers an extra large kitchen, vaulted ceilings, and more.
“James Engle Custom Homes’ Emery Expanded has once again come through with a knock-out 1.5-story plan that will impress anyone with 10- and 12-foot ceilings, a true chef’s kitchen, and a private covered outside living area with see-through fireplace,” adds Ed. “A quick tour will show Parade-goers why this home was worthy of such accolades.”
Finally, Dusselier & Marks Homes earned the Distinctive Plan & Design Awards for its Austin plan, a reverse 1.5-story plan that offers a spacious open feel not usually found in this type of plan in this price range.
“The Austin is absolutely beautiful, the minute you walk in,” says community manager Julie Parman. “It has all the latest trends, colors, and charm Parade-goers are looking for. The living and kitchen areas are full of windows and a large slider that brings in tons of light. The house is a larger version of D&M’s popular Marietta III and boasts fabulous windows across the back of the home, and everyone’s favorite shiplap above the fireplace.”
Still, Stonebridge doesn’t get to claim all the Parade fanfare. Forest View, located just west of Highway 7 on 119th Street in western Johnson County, garnered a Pick of the Parade Award with JFE Construction’s Summerfield III.
“This gorgeous reverse 1.5 story features simply stunning décor and is light and bright with tons of windows across the back of the home, which overlooks a wooded lot,” says community manager Linda Roberts. “The 8-foot sliding doors lead you to the covered deck with a cedar ceiling and fireplace. The gourmet kitchen includes a gas cook top, quartz countertops, a kitchen island, enameled cabinets up to the ceiling with glass doors on the top row, and large walk-in pantry. A fun recreation room features a fantastic wet bar with impressive stone wall, granite countertops, and pendant lights. This home has numerous upgrades, including shiplap walls, built-in bookcases, quartz and granite countertops, décor carpet, stone columns, a custom barn door and more! This is a must see!”
“We’re immensely thankful to all the Parade-goers who came out to discover all our communities have to offer,” adds Brenda. “We’ve had an incredible amount of traffic! And don’t forget that today is the final day to register for a custom dining set — worth up to $5,000 — made by Unruh Furniture! Parade-goers can register simply by stopping by our model homes through the end of business today. Unruh Furniture takes extraordinary pride in their work. Our lucky winner can even watch the talented carpenters make their custom table in the company’s gorgeous 100-year-old church.”
