One of two victims who survived a quintuple shooting in Lawrence early Saturday has been released from the hospital, while the other continues to recover from injuries, Lawrence police said Monday.
The shooting about 1:40 a.m. Sunday in the area of 11th and Massachusetts streets in Lawrence killed a Shawnee woman and two men from Topeka. A 28-year-old Topeka man was released from the hospital and a 19-year-old Topeka man is in stable condition in the hospital.
Lawrence police said they were tirelessly following up on tips but needed more information from witnesses. There were as many as 100 people in the area when the shooting broke out.

“We are asking that anyone who may have photos or videos of the area before, during or after the incident, to reach out to us,” police said in a statement.
Police urge those with information to call Lawrence police at 785-832-7509 or Crime Stoppers of Lawrence and Douglas County at 785-843-8477. Police said they were also taking tips through the agency’s social media accounts.
Lawrence police said they believe the shooting stemmed from a “physical altercation” that occurred near the northwest corner of 11th and Massachusetts.
Witnesses reported hearing numerous gunshots.
