BOSTON

The Royals battered another opposing pitcher on Friday, clubbing two homers off Boston starter Rick Porcello in a 4-2 victory.

In a nine-game winning streak, Kansas City has mashed 20 homers. One of those blasts on Friday damaged more than Porcello’s ERA.

In the top of the second, Salvador Perez cranked a solo shot that sailed over the signage atop the Green Monster in left field and allegedly smashed the windshield of a sport utility vehicle, according to a Royals fan sitting atop the monster on Friday night.

The window carnage was captured by multiple fans with multiple angles, leading us to believe, after extensive research, that this wasn’t one of those prank windshields with a baseball in it. But The Star couldn’t independently verify the window-smashing, so here’s the photographic evidence.

The homer represented Perez’s 21st of the year. Two innings later, Mike Moustakas drilled his 30th. It landed safely in the seats in right field.
