Missing visits to your favorite KC breweries? Beer fans have curbside, to-go options

Brewery taprooms are closed, just like restaurant dining rooms and bars, during the shelter-in-place order. But fans can pick up their favorite brews via curbside and take-out.

Free State Brewing Co. in Lawrence is offering a different “growler of the day” — sometimes up to three different ones — along with a limited food menu.

Boulevard Brewing Co. is selling a limited selection of its beers and seasonal releases, including crowlers of some test batches the brewers have been working on. Curbside pickup or home delivery (near the brewery on the Missouri side only).

Transport Brewery in Shawnee is partnering with area restaurants on a different special Tuesdays and Saturdays — pretzels, tacos, sausage, popcorn and pizza. Curbside and walk-in to-go.

Other area breweries offering curbside and take-out include Casual Animal Brewing Co. in the Crossroads, East Forty Brewing in Blue Springs, Stockyards Brewing Co. in the West Bottoms, Strange Days Brewing Co. in the River Market, Crane Brewing in Raytown, and Sandhills Brewing in Mission.

Beer fans also can order a can or bottle of some of their favorites when picking up a restaurant meal to-go at one of the many area restaurants offering curbside service and delivery.

KC Wine Co. in Gardner also is offering drive-up service. Order on its website, with pickup from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, and noon to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Along with wine, KC Wine also has such offerings as boozy wine pops, peach Bellini, sangria and hard cider.
